The best and affordable art pieces have arrived at TWB in Ikoyi this weekend. From December 10 to 11, no fewer than 23 artists will showcase their works at the Community Art Fair, organized by the Affordable Art Online.

They are Naomi Oyeniyi, Anthonia Ndukauba, Badru Temitayo, Idowu Emmanuel, Gbemileke Adekunle, Peter Kiladejo, Elizabeth Ekpetorson, David Olatunde, Ugonna Ibekwe, Eghosa Raymond, Joel Arueya, Oligbinde Rotimi, Babatunde Kesa, Freda Kesa, Emmanuel Isiuwe, Emmanuel Aderiye, Lawrence Leo, Olabode Oluwatomisin, Oni Stephen, Quazeem Animashaun, Akinlade Afeez, Ifeoluwa Olojede and Oyinda Adelumola.

According to the Founder, Affordable Art Online, Oyinda, the fair is borne out of the need to give a voice to emerging artists and provide affordable artworks as gifts for the yuletide season.

Affordable Art Online has organised a series of art fairs in Ibadan over the years leading to a stronger network of art community in the city. To continue this tradition, the two-day art fair in Ikoyi will serve as a pathway for new collectors to emerge.

“Just come and pick up a gift for Christmas. I am actually taking part in the fair as well. I do nature photography so I would be showcasing my works as well,’’ said Oyinda at a breakfast meeting earlier this week.

Artworks have grown popular in corporate gift culture as they embody environmental-friendliness, memories and thoughtfulness.
