Osinbajo Presides over FEC Meeting, as Cabinet Members Mourn Shonekan

The first meeting of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) in 2022 is about now holding at the State House, Abuja with Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo presiding.
Osinbajo is standing in for President Muhammadu Buhari who left Abuja earlier today to attend the inauguration of President Adama Barrow in Banjul, the Gambian capital.
The FEC members before the commencement of the meeting signed a condolence register opened in honour of the late former Head of Interim National Government (ING), Chief Ernest Shonekan, placed at the entrance of the Banquet Hall, venue of the FEC meeting.
Those attending the meeting include the Chief of Staff to the President, Prof Ibrahim Gambari and the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Mr. Boss Mustapha.
Also present are the Ministers of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed; Science and Technology Innovation, Dr Ogbonnaya Onu; Transportation, Chibuike Amaechi and the FCT, Mallam Muhammad Bello.
Other Ministers and the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Dr (Mrs) Folasade Esan, are attending the Council meeting virtually from their respective offices in Abuja.
