Breaking: Buhari Signs Electoral Act Amendment Bill into Law

President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday signed the reworked Electoral Act Amendment Bill into law.

The President who signed the Electoral Amendment Act at about 12.25pm at the State House, was supported by the President of the Senate, Dr Ahmad Lawan; Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon Femi Gbajabiamila, and Chief of Staff to the President, Prof Ibrahim Gambari, and other top government officials.

The National Assembly had transmitted the reworked Electoral Amendment Bill to the President for his assent on January 31, 2022.
