Bandits Abduct 46 in Kaduna Community

Fourty-six people have been reportedly abducted by bandits in Agunu Dutse, Kachia Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
Among those abducted were three people who were said to have visited relatives in the community.
One person was said to have been fatally injured during the operation.
A resident of the community, who pleaded anonymity, said the criminals stormed the community at about 1am on Thursday.
He said the bandits, who were well armed and in large numbers, went from house to house as they were shooting indiscriminately.
According to him, the community vigilante group “noticed the arrival of the bandits, but could not confront them because the bandits were carrying sophisticated weapons and they were many”, adding that the operation lasted for about 30 minutes.
He gave the names of some of those abducted as: Danjuma Yusuf, Judith Obadiah, Theresa Amos, Alheri Amos, Afiniki Rabo, Adamu Lawrence, Alkali Inusa, Peace Stephen, Bobo Stephen, Baby Stephen, Janet Anthony, Patience Philip, Precious Philip, Eunice Mathew, Godiya Ishaya and Stephen Magaji.
Three people were killed, while two others were abducted in an attack on Ungwan Galadima, Gonin Gora, a suburb in Kaduna metropolis.
A resident of the area, who confirmed the incident in a telephone interview, said the bandits invaded the community at about 1am and operated for over an hour.
He said the bandits came in large numbers and operated freely as nobody could challenge them.
On March 10, 2022, three people were killed and two people were abducted in a similar attack by bandits in Ungwan Galadima in Gonin Gora, a suburb in Kaduna metropolis.
Mohammed Jalige, spokesman of the Kaduna State Police Command, did not respond to telephone calls when contacted.
