Sani Sidi, Ex- NEMA DG, Returns to PDP

A former Director General of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Sani Sidi, has returned to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Sidi made this disclosure at the secretariat of Kaduna Central PDP at the weekend in the company of some party chieftains, noting that he had returned home.
In 2019, Sidi left the PDP to join the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kaduna state after losing the party’s governorship ticket to Isa Ashiru.
While addressing his teeming supporters at the party office, Sidi said there “is no place like home. I am back home and for good.”
Also commenting on his governorship ambition, NEMA’s former boss explained that it was not a rumour as he had declared his intention in his ward.
He said: “My ambition is no longer a rumour, I have just declared my aspiration in my ward. I am now a member of PDP. I am just coming back home. We are consulting with stakeholders on my aspiration.”
He called on PDP members to unite and ensure that the party emerges victorious in the 2023 general elections.
According to him, the leaders and stakeholders of PDP need to unite otherwise we would not succeed.
He said Nigerians were looking up to the PDP to address the security and economic problems challenges the country.
He said: “We need to come together and work together. We must unite the party and forge ahead to ensure victory in the 2023 general election.”
