Jeffter Ohene Kwaah continues to mount the ground as he owns Norway’s popular barbershop franchise

One year after its opening, Edge Barbershop Trondheim has proven that its status as Norway’s biggest barbershop is not hype but a veritable USP that makes it one of a kind anywhere on earth.
The barbershop founded by footballer-turned-entrepreneur Jeffter Ohene Kwaah thrives in Trondheim, Norway’s fourth largest urban centre, but has attracted global customers that include iconic musicians, actors, and comedians.

The list of its patrons includes American rapper, Rick Ross, Haitian musician Wyclef Jean, comedian Aries Spears, Canadian singer Justin Bieber, and Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie, to mention but a few.
Prior to founding the Barbershop, Jeffter first fulfilled his childhood ambition as a footballer. Aside from playing for Ghana’s Under-20 team in 2010, he also played professional football for the Norwegian club, Strindheim TF.

His Barbershop which has branches in the three cities of Oslo, Lillestrom, and Trondheim, now stands out as one of his greatest achievements. The latest branch in Trondheim, which opened on November 12, 2021, has attracted more attention to the brand. Occupying 280 metres of space, it is reportedly the biggest barbershop in Norway.

His brand however, is not ‘phenomenal’ on account of its size but rather of the excellence and exquisiteness of its service, which includes Edge Coffee Lounge and a Grooming Store. The franchise is already renowned for its Barber School, based in Oslo, with the Trondheim branch, according to the CEO, set to have its own barber school in the near future.

Jeffter Ohene Kwaah’s name is still associated with football, modelling, and general entrepreneurship. The idea of him running a barbershop franchise sometimes sounds odd—that is until one is privy to the fact that his partner in the business, Isaac Boadi, is a specialist barber. The Barbershop Trondheim, now the brand’s flagship, has eight specialist barbers, including one female.
