Atiku Commence Reconciliation, Meets Wike

The presidential candidate of the PDP,  Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, Monday commenced a reconciliatory process with all the presidential aspirants that contested with him at the Saturday special convention
Shortly after his emergence, Atiku paid a thank  you visit to Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal in his Abuja residence in the early hours of Sunday,. Tambuwal had stepped down his presidential bid shortly before the commencement of voting at the venue, a development seen as the game changer in favour of Atiku’s emergence.


On Monday,  Atiku visited his closet rival,  the governor of Rivers state,  Nyesom Wike, for a reconciliatory meeting. 
He was accompanied in the visit to Wike by the national vice chairman of PDP,  Dan Orbih,  former Minister of Police Affairs,  Adamu Waziri , former governor of  Ekiti state, Ayo Fayose, among others.
The meeting took place in Wike’s private residence in Maitama, Abuja.  


Wike received Atiku with his associates,  Senator Olaka Nwogu among others 
Though,  the outcome of the meeting was not known,  a source at the meeting said that the PDP presidential candidate will later move to meet the Akwa Ibom State governor, Emmanuel Udom.
