Lagos Senator, Daniel, Salisu Win Ogun APC Senatorial Tickets

The Senator Representing Lagos West in the National Assembly, Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, the former Governor, Gbenga Daniel and the former Chief of Staff to Governor Dapo Abiodun, Shuaib Salisu, have won the All Progressives Congress (APC) Senatorial tickets in their respective Constituencies.
While Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, defeated the incumbent Senator, Tolu Odebiyi, in Osun West, Salisu won in Ogun Central while Daniel won in Ogun East.
At the Ogun West exercise, conducted at the ancient Orona Hall, Ilaro, Yewa South Local Government area of Ogun State, all the accredited delegates from .the five local government s that made up the district, voted for Adeola.
Specifically, Adeola, who is a second term senator, polled 194 votes while his opponent, did not secure anyå vote.
The primary, was conducted with the presence of heavy security presence provided by the Nigerian Army, Nigeria Police, the Department of State Security (DSS) and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence (NSCDC).
The exercise, was conducted under the supervision of the officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission. (INEC) who were announced by the APC Senatorial Primary for Ogun West, Dr. Dapo Odukoya.
In Ogun East, Daniel popularly called OGD, won in all the nine local governments, that constituted the district.
Though, the total votes scored by Daniel were not calculated at the venue, the figures released on the voting on local government basis, showed that he polled 450 votes.
The local governments results also showed that the incumbent, Senator Lekan Mustapha, scored 29 votes, Seyi Oduntan, 11 votes and Segun Adesegun, six votes.
In Ogun Central, Salisu polled 301 out of 370 votes to defeat Ganiyu Hamzat, who scored 62, Senator Gbenga Obadara who polled two, Olatorera Majekodunmi who scored two votes while Biodun Sanyaolu who scored zero just as one Sofela stepped down.
