Following a successful outing that crowned Fajana Adegboyega of La Krim Foods as the winner of Foodbay TV’s Street Foodz Naija (SFN)  second season with a N5 million cash prize, the reality TV show returns for a third season with a N10 million cash prize.

This season’s winner will also be sponsored on an all-expense-paid trip to Dubai as well as rewarding the first and second runner-ups with N5 million and N3 million respectively.

A reality television show promoting local street foods inspired by the vast ethnic groups in Nigeria, SFN positions food entrepreneurs for expansion through skills acquisition. This year, it is partnering with the Metropolitan School of Business and Management to offer a scholarship to the winner.

Speaking at the media parley that had Elozonam Ogbolu, Charles O’Tudor, Noble Igwe, and Gbubemi Fregene (Chef Fregz) in attendance, MD/CEO Maxima Integrated Media Limited, Femi Ogundoro talked about the legacy the show aims to attain.

“It has been a journey from season one, but season three is going to be a bigger production. Street Foodz Naija is not just about putting up a show, it is more about impact and value creation. According to the World Bank report, four out of 10 people live below the poverty line, hence they cannot afford to cook their own meal.”

He continued: “Street Food cuts across the different socioeconomic classes, so the questions remain why aren’t we celebrating the guys responsible for feeding over a hundred million and uncaging their potential to do much more than they are doing at the moment?”

Ahead of the third season, Nigerian businesswoman and creative entrepreneur Toyin Lawani will join the panel of judges.

Delighted at the prospect, she said: “I am very excited to come on board to share my knowledge of business with the winners to help them groom themselves.”

Entries to join the regional live activations in Lagos, Enugu, and Abuja are currently ongoing and will close on August 6, 2022.
