Singer, Bonzlight Set to Release Debut EP “Smooth Operator”

After a musical journey that began at the age of 17 and took flight professionally in 2010, Modern day pop and Afrobeats singer, Fatimehin Abiodun a.k.a Bonzlight is all set to drop his debut Extension Play (EP) soon titled “Smooth Operator”.

According to him, the EP consists of four tracks, namely; Smooth Operator, African Girl, Stronger and I Pray. Prior to the compilation of songs for the EP, Bonzlight made a big statement with the song “Update” featuring Eleniyan & Stunna.

Bonzlight is an independent artist who has always walked alone, doing music and business on the side. He has always been in the show business, calling his own shots and making his own choices without a whiff of a help from any quarters.

“I am a self selling artist, I tap and sing , I am here to showcase my self and talent. I am an act , but sometimes when I understand that people want to dance or love to dance , I give them 1 or 2 tracks to shake body.

“I have been doing music myself. I have never been signed to any label. I have always been a hustler, I make my own money, and I have always been in the entertainment business.I am a complete businessman, show biz has always been for me.So I make money and use it to make one or two tracks. Life has always been hard, and I have always come up at the top.The struggle shaped me, and you can hear that struggle in my music. I am sure so many people face the same hardship and they can relate to it in my songs,” he narrated.

It is no wonder that his songs are laden with stories of his struggles and triumphs because he had always hustled to have his voice heard. His inspirations come from his experience, pains and success.

“ The biggest elements that inspire me are, one, the struggle and pain; two, success and happiness; Three, prosperity and joy; four, money , wealth and riches; six , love of a woman and love from mother to son; lastly sounds that can make people dance. These are the music components I deliver when making different music.It has to be simple, rhythmic and no complexities .Music should be smooth and melodic,” he states

Bonzlight is based in Dubai, United Arab Emirate and he is from Ondo State.
