Destalker Wins Best Comedian of the Year Award

Nigerian comedian, Oghenekowhoyan Onaibe Desmond popularly known by his stage name “Destalker” has again won the Best Comedian of the Year Award 2022.

The Best Comedian of the Year Award 2022 was conferred to Destalker by Cheq TV, an online TV that showcase entertainment with a difference.

Destalker is a very creative and talented comedian, who has never climbed stage without cracking people’s rips.

His comedy skits centre around social, political and economic issues bothering mankind.

The self styled comedian has made a name for himself in the entertainment industry.

Destalker, who is a graduate of Public Administration from Enugu State University of Science and Technology apart from comedy, is also an event planner and a radio presenter.

He is loved by everyone. Just this year, Destalker has travelled abroad countless times because everyone wants to experience his shows.

Destalker has Organised several successful shows in Nigeria and abroad. The most recent was his August 7, 2022 Comedy show which was one of the best comedy shows ever organised in the history of Nigeria as the hall was filled with prominent successful Nigerians. Destalker Laughter Crusade Tour was also a success.

Destalker in March toured 16 cities in the UK tour Basiloon, London, Liverpool, Manchester, Birmingham, Edinburgh, Aberdeen, Glasgow, Coventry, Bristol, Leicester, Newcastle, Leeds, Milton Keynes, Bedford and Dublin, and all tickets were sold out.

Another spectacular show coming up is Destalker Laughter Crusade, taking place in
Transcorp Hilton, Abuja on November 13, 2022.

Destalker’s rise didn’t come as surprise because he has always been good at what he does. Before now, hard work has earned Destalker several honours and awards. In 2019, he won Naija Fm Comedian of the Year Award and ever since, he hasn’t relinquished that award to any other comedian.

In 2021, Destalker also emerged Humour Awards Comedian of the Year. He was nominated alongside the likes of Kennyblaq, Acapella, MC Edo Pikin and among others.
