Breaking: PDP BoT Chairman, Walid Jubrin,  Steps down

For peace to resign in the Peoples Democratic Party, the Chairman of its Board of Trustees (BoT), Senator Walid Jubrin, has announced he is stepping down.

He made the announcement at a well attended BoT meeting Thursday in Abuja.

Southern members of the PDP, with Governor Nyesom Wike of Riversnas arrowhead, had called on Ayu to resign as chairman so that a party member from the South could replace him for an equitable distribution of party offices and slots between the North and South.

The PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, is from the Northeast, the national chairman of the party, Iyorchia Ayu is from North central, 

 the Chairman of the PDP Governors Forum, Governor Aminu Tambuwal, is from the Northwest and the Chairman of the Board of Trustees (BoT), Senator Walid Jubrin, is also from the North.

With Jubrin’s decision to step down, former Senate President, Adolphus Wabara, who is the secretary of the BoT may act till a new BoT chairman is appointed.
