My songs inspired during time of devotion with God – Nelson Iheagwam

Gospel artiste, Nelson Iheagwam has stated that his songs are inspired during his time of devotion with God. The gifted singer who also doubles as a Pastor said: “I could always sing, and carry a tune, however, songs started dropping into my heart during my time of personal devotions and prayers, and also during meetings. New songs were birthed, and then we would usually just record them with our phones and replay them over streams till we could record.”

The founder of Nelson Iheagwam Ministries who is set to unveil his new song’ Lens of the cross’ also recounted how he began ministry.

“Loving God, chasing His leadings, fellowshipping with fellow Christians, praying for people, and teaching people. I just wanted to do all that God will have me do. I have been hosting meetings since school, and then after school, God led me to bring it all under one umbrella, and this birthed Nelson Iheagwam Ministries. I got ordained in 2021.”.

Speaking further, he noted that spiritual encounters are not spooky things one expects after hearing the word.

“Supernatural encounters with God are not the weird and spooky things we’ve seen or expect when we hear the word. For example, a lot of people believe that if you haven’t seen an Angel before, you haven’t encountered the Supernatural. However, the bible disputes this. If you are reading the Bible and praying, and the word of God is fired into your Spirit, that is a supernatural encounter. If you are praying, and God speaks to your heart, comforting you, that is Supernatural. I think we need to redefine what encounters may be. If you are fellowshipping with God and feeling the presence of God and growing spiritually, then yes, these encounters should be sought after, and you can experience it via daily studying God’s word and in prayer. Why should believers seek these things? I don’t think the believer has to seek a supernatural encounter, as you continually walk with God every day, you get to experience it and be able to point out landmarks in your life that are undeniably Supernatural. ”
