The family of one Aiyu Eromosele Thomas, a commercial driver with Bolt Rider Company in Lagos, who has been missing for approximately two months, has called on members of the public and the Nigerian Police Force to speedily come to their rescue.

Speaking with THISDAY, yesterday, the elder brother, Aiyu Etiose Godwin, said his brother left home at exactly 7:30 am on February 1, 2023, for his daily business and has not been seen since then.

According to him, “My brother Aiyu Eromosele Thomas, 34 years old, resides at number 70 Imole Avenue, Ajasa command, Lagos. He left his house for commercial driving activities at about 7:30 am on February 1, 2023.

“He drives a Grey Toyota Corolla, with registration number GGE583GX, which he registered with Bolt Rider company for the taxi activity.

“When he did not return and his phone numbers did not go through, my mother, who was staying in his house at the time, raised the alarm.

“The family’s effort to know his whereabouts proved abortive, hence we reported to Meiran Divisional Police Headquarters.

“The Bolt Rider Company where he registered the car for commercial use were contacted and the company provided the Police with some information that would aid in the investigation.

“We also received information that while on patrol the Alausa police team discovered his vehicle abandoned by the roadside at Ojota, Lagos.”

Speaking further, he said: “On observation, the driver’s door sliding glass was broken and fluid suspected to be blood was seen on the right side of the driver’s seat.

“Around February 14, 2023, the Meiran Police decided to transfer the case to a special unit under the Commissioner of Police, at Lagos State Police Command Headquarters Ikeja, for further and advanced investigation.

“The Police at the state Command promised us that a thorough investigation would be carried out.  But as the weeks’ roll by, there has been no information from them. My Mother and the entire Family are in a panic.

“We are pleading with the general public, the Police, the CP and units concerned to please act on this information provided and help us with any lead that could help us locate our brother. In case of any information, the general public should please report to the nearest police station or call us on 08052220133, or 08135948557. Thanks and God bless you all.”
