AWS LAUNCHES GENERATIVE AI ACCELERATOR FOR GLOBAL STARTUPS

Lagos, Nigeria – AWS, the cloud computing subsidiary of Amazon, has launched its latest accelerator program focused on helping early-stage startups that use generative AI to solve big challenges to scale and grow, including Nigerian start-ups. The Generative AI Accelerator Program is designed to provide selected startups with the necessary tools and resources to accelerate their growth and success in this emerging field.

Nigeria is one of the countries that have seen an increase in the number of start-ups that use generative AI to solve big challenges. Through the program, Nigerian startups will benefit from go-to-market strategies tailored to generative AI, machine learning stack optimization, and networking opportunities with industry luminaries. In addition, the selected startups will receive up to $300,000 in AWS credits to build their products and services on AWS, as well as dedicated business and technical mentors matched based on industry vertical, and demo sessions with potential investors and customers.

The Generative AI Accelerator Program is open to start-ups globally, including Nigeria. Interested start-ups can apply by submitting their application on the AWS website. The selection process will be based on the start-up’s potential to use generative AI to solve big challenges, the strength of their team and technology, and their readiness to scale.

The program is part of AWS’s commitment to supporting start-ups at every stage of their growth journey, and this extends to Nigerian start-ups too. By providing start-ups in Nigeria with the resources they need to succeed, AWS is helping to drive innovation and entrepreneurship in Nigeria’s emerging fields like generative AI.
