BASL Commends United Nigeria Airline over IOSA Certification

The management of United Nigeria Airlines Company Limited has been commended for achieving the International Air Transport Association Operational Safety Audit (IOSA), two years after it commenced operations.

Commending the airline in a letter addressed to its Chairman, Prof. Obiora Okonkwo, Bi-Courtney Aviation Services Limited, operators of Murtala Muhammed Airport 2 (MM2) in Lagos, said it was proud to be associated with United Nigeria Airlines, which it described as ‘a distinguished airline’.

In the letter signed by the duo of Oluwatosin Onalaja and Oluremi Jibodu, Head, Corporate Communications and Head, Aeronautical and Cargo Services respectively, Bi-Courtney said the IOSA certification was a remarkable achievement by United Nigeria Airlines.

Bi-Courtney further said: “We are proud to have such a distinguished airline operating within our terminal and we are thrilled to see your hard work and dedication being acknowledged in such a meaningful way.”

According to the MM2 Operator, “Being recognised in this way is a testament to United Nigeria Airlines’ commitment to safety, service and excellence” adding that “it is truly an honour to work alongside such a respected and accomplished organization.”

The terminal operator also lauded United Nigeria Airlines for ‘the contributions you make to the success of the Murtala Muhammed Airport terminal 2”, noting that “your dedication to providing top-notch services to your passengers is evident in our interactions with your team, and we are grateful for the positive impact you have on our passengers’ travel experiences”. Wishing Unite Nigeria Airlines continued success, Bi-Courtney said it “looks forward to continued partnership” with the airline.

It would be recalled that IATA had on March 13, 2023 certified United Nigeria Airlines as IOSA compliant after a thorough and rigorous operational audit.
