Drama, Comedy, Thriller Peeked in ‘The Bloom Boys’

Following in its post-production phase with the trailer release recently, upcoming film, ‘The Bloom Boys’ has continued to gain buzz and visibly notable within the Nollywood industry and amongst movie lovers in the past few weeks. The genre cut across drama, comedy and thriller. Starring actors like Timini Egbuson, Shaffy Bello, Segun Arinze & Tobi Bakre, Cute Abiola & Mc Lively.  

The movie, Bloom Boys which is directed by Xela and distributed by Genesis pictures follows the story of a noblesse-high society family, Kemi and her influential mum’s desperation to get her married to a billionaire’s son which led to an unexplainable event involving a popular tech bro and sudden rise of luck found rival. However, there is a Villain.

“It’s safe to say Bloom Boys is not just a movie but a movement as we have seen our social channel continue to enjoy tremendous growth from Nollywood and movie lovers, we really want to thank them for their support so far and the movie, I don’t really want to give much away but the ‘Bloom Boys’ is a story that addresses social family issues,” the producers stated.

Giving a sneak peek, the official trailer of ‘The Bloom Boys’ which is also available on YouTube, captures Shaffy Bello sharing her experience of the male folks, “Do you know how much we have to endure as women to accommodate these men? We have to take all their nuisances. And tolerate all their shortcomings…”

Aside addressing social family issues, ‘The Bloom Boys’ exudes Gen Z & X energy and features an impressive shift in tone. Written by Awal Abdullateef, the movie will be available across cinemas on the 28th of April, 2023.
