Pop Star ‘Tyler Vybe’ Lunch New Album ‘Homework’
Nigerian singer, Oluwadamilare Mogaji, popularly known as Tyler Vybes, has released his first album of 2023 and it is titled ‘Homework’.
The new album, which housed 7 tracks, was produced by Mr Bola Mogaji, Chief Executive Officer, Hashtag Entertainment and Trybe Vybes Manager, who doubles as his father.
The album consists of Afro-beat and Afro-Soul genres of music that address a variety of significant subjects, such as societal values, education, and politics, packed in melodic, groovy voices.
Mogaji, who recently held his album listening party in Abuja and demonstrated a great deal of charisma and refinement, stated that the album aims to set him apart from other musicians in the Nigerian music scene with original songs that would captivate listeners of all ages.
Mogaji said, “ I got the name of the album ‘Homework’ from my book one afternoon in class. I fell in love with music and I really love Afrobeat and all the people ahead of me like wizkid. This whole EP is focused on me entirely so it can give me the opportunity to showcase my own music and talent.
“ My message is that whatever you love doing, playing games, writing music, rapping, singing keep on doing what you do. Find out that one thing that you know that you love and you are good at and stick to it, make sure to improve and create, make sure that you assess yourself over time to know your ability and improvement.
Speaking about his role model in the music industry, the young star said he was a big wizkid fan.
He continues, “ I see myself improving my craft in the next five years. Getting better, I see myself traveling the world carrying everyone dear to me. I carry the whole of the Hashtag Mafia Team along to make sure I am heading in the right direction. And I will make sure that my academics and my morales are in check. I write my songs weekends to make sure I am still in my element.
“ I want my own audience to like teenagers, secondary schoolers, university students, basically people who can love my music for what it is. I enjoy performing live because a drummer or Guitarist can get you in the mood with one twist.” he said.
Oluwadamilare is a 15-year-old high school student. He was born in the United States to a Yoruba father and an Igbo mother; he only moved to Nigeria when he was 7 years old.
There were no features on the album but Homework, Simple, Chop Life, Mavey, Falling, Let me be, I dey feel myself were all fan favorites.
