Sarian Oruene is indeed a trailblazer as her journey inspires
Sarian Martin Oruene, born into a Christian family of seven in Bayelsa, has narrated how her acting journey started when she was in secondary school. “…we did a production in school and then in my church before I came to Lagos and officially took it as a carrier in 2019 after I finished the university. I studied fine art at Niger Delta University.” She expressed.
This journey and experience are what inspired her dream and decision to become an actor. She states that she knew acting was her lot the moment she completed her first production in secondary school, that was the moment she realized her true passion and love.
Even through her process and progress, she admits that it has also been laced with its challenges- “So far the only challenge I’ve had is being persistent because I have one business and also dabble into politics once in a while so it’s a bit challenging to do everything at once. At the end of the day, I handle all so well.” She said.
Without a doubt, Sarian was truly born for this as she has successfully evolved and fit perfectly into the production world. “My greatest strength as an actor is my ability to take in lines very quickly and accurately without making mistakes and how swiftly I get into character.” She reveals.
Oruene shot into the limelight after she bagged the role of Amaka in the movie “Freda”, an Africa Magic original love drama about a wealthy blogger who does everything to control her relationship and make sure her man doesn’t earn more than her.
She has also starred in other productions like “Over And Over Again”, “A Toast To Forever”, and “Call To Bar”, among others. She has also won several awards.
