Meet Kingsley Otu, Lagos Rising Designer

Kingsley Otu, known in the industry as KCee, has become a major force in the fashion industry in Lagos. He has done it by being the creative mind behind tsome of the Clemas Effanga clothline. KCee was born in Nigeria on January 10, 1993. He has made a name for himself in the fashion world by defining a new age of style excellence.

Since joining  Clemas Effanga as a Fashion Designer in 2020, KCee has made sure that his designs are a perfect mix of new ideas while paying tribute to the old ones. In 2014, he began his journey at Heritage Clothing, where he learned how to infuse fashion in clothes. KCee quickly rose through the ranks and became the label’s Fashion Designer for the ready-to-wear line. This was the start of an amazing career for him.

KCee worked at Heritage Clothing for four years, where he developed his style and learned how to make fashion more practical and functional. In 2019, he began a new journey at Clemas Effanga, where he stood out as the Senior Designer and worked directly with the brand’s founder Clement Effanga. The fashion industry noticed how hard he worked and how creative he was. For this reason, in 2020, he was hired as The Mobile Tailor Ready-to-Wear Design Director.

In 2021, KCee’s big moment came when he was named Creative Director at Clemas Couture. This was the start of a change in fashion design. His ideas are outside the box, and the things he makes are both modern and elegant, with a nod to custom.

Under KCee’s direction, Clemas Effanga has become known for its high-quality work and cutting-edge designs. Each piece shows how dedicated he is to breaking the rules of men’s fashion.
