Tinubu Won’t Marginalise Any Section of Nigeria, Says SWAGA
Sunday Aborisade in Abuja
The National Coordinator of South West Agenda for Asiwaju (SWAGA), Senator Adedayo Adeyeye, has said that President-elect Bola Tinubu won’t marginalise any section of the country whether they vote for him or not.
He also said being a man with a large heart, Tinubu would not concentrate development or appointments in a section of the country alone.
Adeyeye, a former spokesperson for the 9th Senate, gave the assurance while speaking with journalists in Abuja on Thursday.
The Afenifere chieftain said Tinubu had no reason to marginalise any part of the country because he won his election convincingly across the country.
He explained that the president-elect had the constitutional requirements in five out of the six geopolitical zones cutting across 31 out of the 36 states of the federation.
He said: “This shows a big spread throughout the country. The framers of the constitution says whoever will be president of Nigeria must have presence of support widely throughout the country. Tinubu has met that requirement.
“Notwithstanding, however, the people in a few areas of the country where it was very obvious he did not meet the constitutional requirements have absolutely nothing to fear in the incoming administration of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.
“He is a man with a large heart who had already stated that he would be fair to all sections of Nigeria.
“Therefore, the mere fact that some people did not vote for him would not in any way, prevent him from carrying out developmental projects their areas.
“Everybody should be rest assured that Tinubu’s government would be fair to all the geopolitical zones of Nigeria.
“Every area of the country will be well attended to and the people there will be accommodated in his government.
“It is therefore necessary for all Nigerians to be rest assured that better days are ahead for everybody
“Tinubu will be for all Nigerians and would never be against any Nigerian.
“He has been elected as President of Nigeria and he is going to work for every Nigerian irrespective of their religion, ethnicity, gender or age.
“He will ensure even development of the entire country. If any area of the country is neglected, it will drag other areas back. We must carry ourselves forward in terms of social economic development.”
Adeyeye said Tinubu’s immediate task would be to address the issue of insecurity.
According to him, “Insecurity though pervaded in all parts of the country is more endemic in others.
“Therefore, serious attention would be given to areas where the problem has become almost intractable.
“Once the problem of insecurity is solved, it will trigger massive social and economic activities which would have multiplayer effects on all sectors of the economy.
“He (Tinubu) will deploy all strategies to solve the problem including technology.
“It may also require the decentralization of the security architecture of the country.
“I know that having done well in terms of security in Lagos State when he was governor.”
