In its drive to contribute to the educational transformation of Africa and other emerging markets, Harde Business School has launched its expert-led courses that are specifically focused on preparing young Africans for the future of work.

The courses are carefully curated programs designed to deliver the right learning experience and advantage to digitally savvy millennials and Gen Zers looking to upskill and certify their understanding in specific knowledge areas, including fashion, music, comedy, events planning, dance, and community building.

Commenting on the launch, Harde Business School CEO Tayo Osiyemi said that building capacity around high-value skills is critical to preparing ready-made youths to compete with global relevance.

He revealed that the expert-led courses would be offered through Harde’s online platform, which provides a seamless and interactive learning experience, as learners can access a wide range of resources, including videos, interactive quizzes, and personalized feedback.

He also urged the government to look into opening up regulations and policies that would allow more players to set up universities, adding that the country needs to rethink its educational curriculum.

Giving the keynote speech at the launch event, the founding Vice-Chancellor of Babcock University, Prof. Kayode Makinde, emphasized that innovation is required to reimagine the future of learning.

He pointed out that for the country to prepare its teeming youths for the global future of work, restructuring of the educational system must be adaptive to create a future that recognises the present-day realities of the needs of the youths.
