Tinubu Meets With N’Assembly Leadership

President Bola Tinubu is meeting with the leadership of the ninth National Assembly at the State House, Abuja.

The meeting, the first since the president’s assumption of office on May 29, is being attended by the President of the Senate, Dr Ahmad Lawan, and Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon Femi Gbajabiamila.

The president, THISDAY learnt, may use the opportunity of the meeting to seek the cooperation of the legislative arm of government in the onerous task ahead of him.

The meeting may also discuss the forthcoming inauguration of the 10th National Assembly scheduled for June 13 and the eventual election of leadership and principal officers of the National Assembly.
