The founder of Living Faith Church (aka Winners Chapel Worldwide), Bishop David Oyedepo, has presented relief materials worth over N20 million to the victims of the recent attacks in some communities in Mangu and Riyom Local Government Areas of Plateau State.

Over 100 persons were reportedly killed and 10,000 others displaced from their ancestral homes by the attackers suspected to be herdsmen.

Represented by his Vice-President, Pastor Olayinka Folorunsho, Oyedepo, who visited the palace of Miskhaham Mwaghavul, Da John Putmang Hirse, said they were in the state to commiserate with the people over the heartless attacks.

Folorunsho, who was accompanied by the resident pastor of Living Faith Church, Jos, Pastor Gayus Biyam, said: “The church is sad over the recent attacks in Mangu and Riyom Local Government Areas (LGA).

“Just as Christ has mandated us to rejoice with those who are rejoicing and also mourn with those who are mourning, we are here to let the people know we feel their pains and also pray along with them that God will expose the perpetrators of the evil act and also grant those who lost their lives eternal rest.”

Responding, Putmang welcomed the representatives of the church and appreciated them for their selfless effort towards the internally displaced persons (IDPs).

He also said that their act of love and evangelism will further advance Christ Kingdom on earth.

Putmang said: “The cash and relief materials which include; 100 bags of rice, beans, maize, yams, sugar, seasoning, beverages, beddings, toiletries, mosquito nets and clothes will help in paying hospital bills for some affected persons in the hospital and also with food items.”
