Shola Ilori to Commence JMTW Concert Monthly, Continues to Push Gospel Music to a Global Audience
With a musical career started far back in 1999, Shola’s musical excellence remains impeccable and with the unfailing Grace of God he has been able to balance both his musical and professional career as a Data Analyst in a Multinational FMCG company. His works has recorded major successes on social media and musical platforms which further stamps his music on the hearts of many.
Ilori’s musical gift and passion to leading people to God’s presence is traceable to his biological father who was the first organist of Christ Apostolic Church, Oke Alafia, Agbo Oba, Ilorin, Kwara State. The seasoned gospel minister has since moved ahead in his career with a 10 man band which comprises of a keyboardist, 2 guitarists, 4 backup singers, a saxophonist and 2 percussionists which he believes are the elements of the kind of band that would help push his musical mastery.
Speaking about his kind of music he shares that, “Our kind of music is exceptional because it’s an undiluted Gospel of Jesus Christ translated into music and played out by seasoned musicians of the band. Generally, music is lucrative and also depending on the angle which you see it, music can be a message passed across to people either informing them on what’s good or bad or affecting the world positively or negatively. You can be selling beat without information in a music and you can as well sell good and impactful information through music. When people find this useful, they buy into your vision.”
The gospel minister has a live concert he tags, JOIN ME TO WORSHIP which has blessed many lives to come to the limelight because of Shola’s obedience to God’s call. With undeniable impacts his live concerts is set to make a monthly engagement with the last Sunday of this month kicking things off. Despite been ordained as an altar minister in the Redeemed Christian Church of God he has not relented in using his given gift of Music to bless and continue to affect his generation positively. Happily married to Dolapo Ilori he continues to be an example to men across his community and the world at large.
