In the words of Salami, the initiative became necessary as the post-pandemic world requires a new level of action.
He emphasised, “The World Economic Forum and the Oliver Wyman Forum report that women have been struck by the harsh conditions of the COVID-19 pandemic, causing them to adapt to new realities.”
These new realities, Salami added, require a new level of commitment to engaging, empowering, and recognising women, especially those that are blazing the trail and setting new records.
He further described The Peak Performing Women Project as the vehicle for driving a renewed commitment to empowering, engaging, and recognising women in their quest for delivering excellence in a post-pandemic world based on Goal 5 of the Sustainable Development Goals.
According to the founder, this project hopes to equip and encourage women to garner and deliver excellence as career professionals, entrepreneurs, social innovators, political office holders and more, even in their personal lives.
The world-class performing strategist is confident that the programme would enable more women to live beyond misperceptions, stereotypes and misplaced emotions that could limit the God-given exceptional nature within the woman for the development of humanity.
He also submitted that “The Peak Performing Women of The Year is our third level of action in this renewed commitment. We started with The Peak Performing Woman Series and The Peak Performing Woman Interactive Session”.
For Salami, TPP Woman of The Year 2023 is attracting women from across Africa for a time of connection, capacity development, and celebration.
“While a high-level jury will review the nominees, the 100 women, who make the final list, will be recognised at The Peak Performing Woman of The Year 2023 Summit, Exhibition & Awards.”
Abiola is also confident that any organisation, industry, community, country, or continent that wants to deliver excellence consistently must constantly empower, engage and recognise the sterling contribution of its women.
“That is why I’m inviting you and every woman around you to join us for a time of inspiration, connection and celebration at TPP Woman of The Year 2023,” he enthused.
For its maiden edition, although there were 2,534 entries received, the event will recognise only 100 women setting trends and creating new records across multiple African industries and generations.
