Wike, Four Other PDP’s Integrity Group Members Visit Tinubu

Deji Elumoye in  Abuja

The members of the G-5 Integrity Group of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) including Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State are currently meeting with President Bola Tinubu at the State House, Abuja.

Other members of the group, who arrived the seat of government at about 4.21pm are former Governors Nyesom Wike (Rivers), Samuel Ortom (Benue), Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi (Enugu) and Okezie Ikpeazu (Abia).

Wike is visiting the State House the third time in one week, while the other four G-5 members are holding their first meeting with President Tinubu since his inauguration on May 29.

The group is considered to have been friendly with President Tinubu, as well as contributed to his electoral victory in February.

Although the reason for the visit is yet to be known, it is however believed that the governor and former governors would be seeking to take advantage of their cordial relationship with the president to further their personal political fortunes, as well as those of their various states.
