The National Missionary of Dar-Ur Rahmat (DARMAT) Muslim Organisation in Nigeria, Sheikh Musibaudeen Olawale, has urged the intending pilgrims to this year hajji exercise in Saudi Arabia to pray fervently for peace and economic growth of the country.

Olawale also called on them to shun all acts that may likely demarket Nigeria in Saudi Arabia.

Speaking with journalists in Ilorin yesterday on  the state of the nation, Sheikh Olawale decried the present situation in the country occasioned by insecurity and economic downturn among Nigerians.

He said: “It is worrisome now that no family can meet its daily obligations as directed by the books of Allah in view of the displacement being faced in some parts of the country due to insecurity and economic viability of many households in the country.

“The ugly development has led many people to take sources of making their ends meet from ungodly way, and this has continued to have serious effect on the socio economic development of the populace.”

Olawale, who called on the intending pilgrims to this year’s hajji exercise to use their energy to pray for the country during their activities in the Saudi Arabia, said: “Hajj is one of the five pillars of Islam with divine rules and principles according to the Qur’an and Sunnah.”

He added that the prayers would go a long way to bail out Nigeria from its present predicament and return it to a prosperous country.

The cleric, therefore, charged the pilgrims to shun all possible negative acts to devalue Nigeria identity in any form.
