Tinubu in Closed-door Meeting With Sanusi

President Bola Tinubu is currently meeting with the 14th Emir of Kano, Alhaji Lamido Sanusi, at the State House, Abuja.

Sanusi, a former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), was ushered into the President’s office shortly after the session of the former Head of State, General Abdulsalami Abubakar, with President Tinubu.

Sanusi, who was deposed as emir of Kano on March 9, 2020, was governor of CBN from 2009 to 2014 and he is the immediate predecessor of the suspended CBN governor, Mr. Godwin Emefiele. 

The purpose of the meeting with the president is unknown.
