Two non-governmental organisations, Valentine Chineto Ozigbo Foundation (VCOF) and Decagon Institute, have entered into a partnership to train unemployed Anambra State graduates in software engineering.

The groups said the partnership would help the youths to enter the technology industry as professionals and also play prominently after the training.

A statement issued by the group and signed by VCOF founder, Mr. Valentine Ozigbo, a former governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state, said the foundation would provide loans accessible to students for the training, while Decagon Institute would train the students.

He also revealed that the foundation would provide a guaranteed N400 million to be accessed as a loan by 100 students from Anambra  State who will take part in the programme.

Ozigbo said: “Part of the landmark alliance between the two organisations offers a unique opportunity for high-achieving Anambra graduates interested in tech to be provided with a VCO Foundation guarantee to access student loans to participate in the Decagon Software Engineering Training Programme.

“We are proud to enter into this partnership with Decagon Institute. Through this partnership, we are investing not only in the individuals but the entire Ndi Anambra community and beyond.

“By empowering our youths with cutting-edge tech skills, we are equipping them to become drivers of innovation and progress.

“The Decagon programme is more than just learning to code; it’s about unlocking potential, creating opportunities, and shaping the future of Anambra  State. When our young people succeed, we all succeed.”
