The Chief Executive Officer, GOTNI  Leadership Centre, Dr. Linus Okorie, has reiterated that Nigeria still suffers from leadership deficit capital, adding that this has contributed to the poor growth and development of the nation’s socioeconomic polity.

Okorie, who stated this yesterday  in Abuja, said many people who are promoted into leadership positions do not have the purpose of leadership training that is necessary to equip them play roles that will help the system work effectively.

He noted that organisations and businesses die completely and go into oblivion as a result of the deficit of leadership capital.

In line with  the Centre’s vision  to raise leaders who are transforming institutions and growing sustainable systems, he stated that the GOTNI Leadership Centre will be hosting a national leadership conference this Friday and Saturday in Abuja with the theme ‘Leadership for Sustainability.’

Okorie noted that the leadership development organisation is committed to raising leaders who will transform institutions and establish sustainable systems through comprehensive leadership capital development

According to him, the conference would provide the opportunity for managers and executives in private and public organisations to strengthen their leadership capacities, establish new networks and develop the capacity to maximise the potential of their existing networks to the advantage of their institutions.

He noted that the conference is also aimed at reinforcing the need for leadership development for organisational and national leaders.

“The national leadership conference provides a vibrant platform for delegates to expand their professional networks, fostering connections with like-minded peers, mentors, and potential collaborators from diverse sectors and industries.

“The widely experienced speakers will share their experiences, wisdom, and innovative ideas, providing attendees with fresh perspectives on effective leadership in an ever-evolving business world.

“Distinguished panelists will engage in insightful discussions, exploring emerging leadership concepts and sharing real-world experiences. Delegates will have the opportunity to engage, ask questions, and receive tailored solutions and expert advice”, Okorie added.
