Samuel Ogunyooye sheds light on his maiden documentary, Plans other productions

A leading communications professional and clergyman, Samuel Ogunyooye has shed light on how he handles the tough times of life. He is the founder of Cheser Media and the esteemed pastor of Glory of God C&S Church Texas, Ogunyooye has captivated audiences through his talk-show turned documentary featuring renowned Nollywood stars called ‘Anathema’.

Asked how he handles the challenges of life, he said, “I am a go-getter and someone who believes nothing is impossible for God to do. I don’t see failure. I set my eyes on the goal ahead. So when the storms come, I just stay focused and connected”.

On how his background in journalism and banking influenced his decision to start the Anathema talk-show and later transform it into a documentary, he said, “It was basically my sojourn in the ministry that influenced the talk-show cum the documentary. Meanwhile, my professional background also had a great deal of influence due to my knack for public relations as well as being a communication expert. All these border on giving the church a deserving public perception. So the Nollywood actors are just the subjects needed to drive the documentary project”.

The Cheser Media boss also opened up on the projects the outfit is working on, “First, we are planning to consolidate on our maiden documentary project. We had a premiere on Friday, November 11, 2022, at the Irvin Arts Centre, Texas, the United States of America where only the attendees were able to see it. We want to ensure that we put it on a streaming platform where the whole world will get to see it which is a way of achieving our aim concerning the project. We are also considering an annual Anathema concert to commemorate the release of the documentary. Meanwhile, the project also has a sequel and that is going to be executed on a larger scale. Anathema has a soundtrack, titled: “Egbe Kerubu tiye”, and we are working on more soundtracks”.
