DJ Chris K Musical Transition

Although he started his career as a dancer before veering into disc jockeying, which brought him wide acclaim in Germany, DJ Chris K today is wearing the cloak of a musician. In a recent chat, the artist who boasts over a decade of experience on the turntable said that his journey into disc jockeying was never for fame or money, neither is he tired of the profession. Rather, he revealed that he is “inspired to do more. That’s why I started to produce my own beats and sing.”

Having played music in different countries and cities around the world, DJ Chris K, whose real name is Christian Kambilo, said that every culture comes with its own unique music taste. Notwithstanding, nothing can be compared to the feeling of playing music to communicate with a new audience.

On his latest musical endeavour, he revealed that  he is working on a new song titled ‘Dodo.’ He described the song as an Afrobeat track with French influence, English and Lingala (mother tongue).

“I got inspired by a song my mother always sang for me when I was a child because she was a lover of good music, and I grew up listening to all kinds of songs. ‘Dodo’ is about women’s sexual power and appreciating African women all over the world. They are always sexy and beautiful,” he concluded.

‘Dodo’ will be released in July 2023.
