Nigeria and Napoli forward, Victor  Osimhen, has expressed his delight after emerging winner at the Ghana Football Awards on Sunday.

Osimhen took to his Twitter handle yesterday to thank organisers of the award.

“Hello everyone I’m Victor Osimhen, SSC Napoli striker. It’s a great privilege for me to win this award it’s really a great honour.

“Thank you to those who voted for me and major thanks to the organisers, Ghana Football Award for your love and support also. I appreciate you for this recognition I’ll keep making Africa proud.

“Thank you all and God bless you,” observed Osimhen in a short video he posted on Twitter, yesterday.

Osimhen helped Napoli win the Italian topflight league title, their first since 1990.

Also,  he emerged top scorer with 26 goals, and became the first-ever African top win the golden boot in the Italian topflight.

In the course of the season, he was named Best Foreign Athlete in Italy.

Meanwhile, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur have stepped up their chase for  Osimhen amid the renewed interest by fellow top Premier League club Manchester United.

Osimhen is a top transfer target this summer after his exploits crowned Napoli champions again in Italy this past season.

Sky Sport Italia expert Massimo Marianella reported yesterday that Chelsea are advancing their pursuit for the Nigerian forward.

The price tag is 150 million Euros and that does not scare Chelsea – and plans to contact Napoli shortly, according to the information.

This past week, Sportitalia reported that PSG are also making a serious attempt to sign Osimhen.

They were ready to make a bid worth 150 Million Euros, including bonuses.

PSG and United should still be in the picture and will be joined by Tottenham, according to the reports.
