Eid-El-Kabir: Pray for Positive Transformation of Nigeria, Fubara Urges Muslims

Rivers State Governor, Mr. Siminalayi Fubara, has urged Muslims across the country to always pray for leaders and the positive transformation of the country.

Fubara, made the call yesterday, while felicitating with the Muslim faithful in Rivers and across the country in commemoration of this year’s Eid-el-Kabir celebration.

 He further urged all Nigerians to imbibe the obligational character of sacrifice for the growth and development of the country, noting that the nation was passing through a phase of recovery that would result in the well-being and prosperity of all.

The Rivers state governor said, “In the spirit of this special day, I urge all Muslims and indeed all Nigerians to reflect on the rare virtues of obedience, sacrifice and faith as exemplified by the Holy Prophet.”

Fubara also expressed hope that the prayers and sacrifices that come from this year’s Eid-ei-Kabir would culminate in enhancing peace, unity and the advancement of the nation

Similarly, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state, Eze Chukwuemeka, noted that that harmonious living was key to a country’s progress.

He hailed the former Vice President and Presidential Candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2023 election, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and other adherents of Islam across country on the Eld-El-Kabir celebration.

In his massage, Eze called on Muslims to use the celebration to promote love, peace, good brotherliness and the solemn impact of national bond on the country’s progress which he said were at the core of Atiku’s pact with Nigerians during the general election.

 Eze hailed Nigerians for, “developing the muscles to adjust to the difficulties of the trying moment and absorb the shocks it has triggered on individual subconscious and our national life”.

 He therefore urged “Muslims brethren and all Nigerians to make sacrifices for the growth and development of our dear great country, as I am very hopeful that the prayers and sacrifices that come with this great celebration of Eid-ei-Kabir will bring peace, unity, and progress to our dear country Nigeria.”
