Sam Anyanwu Vows to Reunite Imo PDP and Capture Douglas House
In a bid to consolidate support within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and reclaim the political landscape in Imo state, Senator Samuel Anyanwu, the party’s gubernatorial candidate and National Secretary, expressed confidence that the PDP would secure victory and assume control of Douglas House by November.
Senator Anyanwu made this declaration during a reconciliation meeting held at his campaign office in Owerri. The gathering included all 305 Ward Chairmen, 27 LGA Chairmen, 27 LGA Women Leaders, and 3 Zone Women Leaders of the party, who unanimously pledged their full support.
Addressing the attendees, Senator Anyanwu stated, “Those who have chosen to leave the party are free to do so. However, those who remain will reap the rewards of our victory. When we win, there will be no tears but rather joy and fulfillment.”
He expressed his gratitude to the reconciliatory committee for their efforts thus far and assured all support groups that they would work in unison with the party, eliminating any form of segregation or discrimination.
Senator Anyanwu further asserted, “There is no scenario where the PDP will lose the upcoming elections in November.”
As a gesture of appreciation to the party faithful for their unwavering support over the years, the PDP leader announced plans for a “Thank-you” tour.
Notable party leaders in attendance included Dr. Jones Onyereri, the Deputy Governorship Candidate, Evang. Mike Ikoku, Chief Mike Ahumibe, Hon. Henry Onwukwe, Chief Bonny Ebili, and other prominent figures within the party hierarchy.
