General Overseer of The Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Movement, Pastor Lazarus Muoka, has appealed to the federal government to release the detained Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.
He made the appeal during the two-day international crusade titled, ‘God that does what no man can do, organised by the Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Movement at the church’s headquarters, Odofin Park Estate, Off Ijesha Bus Stop, Oshodi Apapa Expressway Lagos.
Muoka said since the detention of Kanu peace has not reigned in the country especially in the South-east zone, appealing that his release would bring the needed relative peace and reconciliation in Nigeria.
According to him, the release of Kanu will give the agitators a sense of belonging and embrace peace for a better Nigeria, noting that before his incarceration the Southeastern part of Nigeria had witnessed relative peace and progress.
“There is a need for the federal government to release Nnamdi Kanu. I appeal and pray that God Almighty will touch those in charge to do the needful, for there to be peace, unity and progress in the Southeast and the entire country.”
“It has been observed the aggrieved people of the South-east observe ‘Sit at Home’ on Monday weekly as a means to protest the incarceration of Nnamdi Kanu, and that is affecting the economic development in that zone, so I appeal that the federal government should release the young man, and thereafter, reconciliation will follow,” he added.
