CSOs Hail Tinubu’s Security Reforms, Service Chiefs, Other Appointments

Two civil society groups, the National Council for Civil Society Organisations (NACCSO) and Vision-One Leadership Development Initiative (VOLDI), have expressed satisfaction on the security reforms so far carried out by President Bola Tinubu as well as his recent appointment of Service Chiefs, which cut across the six geopolitical zones in the country.
The Director General of the organisations, Mr. Emmanuel Johnny, stated this during CSOs and NGOs stakeholders’ congress in Abuja yesterday.
Johnny said, “Mr. President has done well in his 30 days in office in the area of security reform by first and foremost, appointed credible and competent Service Chiefs, which cut across the six geopolitical zones of the nation including the North Central.
“He has also retained the proactive Commandant General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Ahmed Abubakar Audi, who has done well in just two years in office.”
Johnny commended Tinubu for his commitment in restoring peace and security of the nation and as well as giving the new service chiefs, all the support to carry-out their constitutional responsibility.
He also commended Tinubu for having confidence in working with Audi, who has over his two years in office bring to bear numerous achievements (transformation) in NSCDC.
He said, “Within just two years of leadership of the NSCDC Corps, Ahmed Audi-led administration has justified the confidence reposed on him with lots of achievement to his name.
