Sule: Nasarawa Assembly Crisis‘ll Soon Be Over

Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule, yesterday assured stakeholders that the leadership crisis rocking the Nasarawa State House of Assembly would soon be over to pave the way for normal legislative proceedings.

The governor gave the assurance when he hosted members of the 7th Nasarawa Assembly, led by its speaker, Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi, who were in the Lafia Government House on a Sallah homage to the governor.

He said the people of the state were eager to see their representatives legislate on matters that affect the socio-economic development of their areas and the state at large, as against subjecting themselves to leadership crisis.

Earlier, Speaker Abdullahi told Governor Sule that the visit was to rejoice and congratulate the governor on the successful Eid-el- Kabir celebration

The speaker, therefore, reaffirmed the 7th Assembly’s support to the governor to achieve purposeful leadership and for peace, unity and progress of Nasarawa State.

Abdullahi, however, called on people of the state to support the government of the day both at the national and state levels, and to as well remain committed to constituted authorities.
