Dadu’ut Failed as Senator, Don’t Appoint Her Minister, APC Group Tells Tinubu
Seriki Adinoyi in Jos
Plateau South All Progressives Congress (APC) Compatriot has urged President Bola Tinubu not to consider Senator Nora Dadu’ut for ministerial appointment, noting that the Senator failed awfully when she represented Plateau South in the National Assembly.
Addressing the press in Jos, the group, led by Nanmang Danladi also called on the national leadership of the party to intervene and ensure that Dadu’ut does not make the ministerial list.
But in a swift response, the Senator described the group as faceless and does not represent the voice of APC in the state.
Danladi said: “A diligent overview of Dadu’ut’s democratic expedition as a lawmaker of the 9th Assembly is evident that she is not a good party stalwart or political figure in the state. She is alienated to having a roadmap of national politics that is a panacea for attracting dividends of democracy to complement the state.
“The professor’s performance in politics is very poor.”
“The two and a half-year senator has no visible constituency project, no bill sponsorship, completely divorced her constituents, and failed to carry along stakeholders of the party APC in her zone and the state at large throughout her tenure of office.
“Let it be on record that Prof. Nora, even as a serving senator did not only fail to deliver her ward/LGA for the party APC in the 2023 general election but also failed to finance/support party campaigns, activities from ward level to state even when she received material support from Her Excellency Oluremi Tinubu.”
Danladi alleged that Dadu’ut has a terrible sharing formula that appeals only to her family members, with a generosity level lower than a street beggar.
He said: “It is important to emphatically say, Sen Nora if nominated for ministerial position cannot deliver APC on the Plateau. Laughable was when the senator, who is in charge of six local governments, limited her office to a polling unit by holding a press conference claiming she won her polling unit instead of at least her immediate local government area. This shows her lack of capacity and incompetency.
“A dangerous fact about the senator is that her husband, who is her confidant and her only adviser, is a sympathizer of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on the Plateau. This is because he was a two-term Commissioner under Jonah David Jang and he is a bosom friend of the former governor. They both had a series of political meetings together before the recently conducted 2023 general election.”
But Dadu’ut refuted the claim of her non-performance, noting that her achievements throughout her tenure were feasible and could be felt in the entire senatorial district, coupled with her robust contributions to national discourse.
“I have finished my race as the Senator representing Plateau South and my next level is in the hand of God. No amount of sponsored blackmail can stop my next level in life. Those who were beneficiaries of my various empowerment programmes can testify to my achievements.
“I supported my party at all levels during the last election, I worked hard for my party and supported all candidates that contested the 2023 elections with cash, prayers, and morals.”
