Prince Siyanbola Oladigbolu Gives Five Reasons He Should Be Next Alaafin of Oyo

By Funmi Ogundare
Oyo Crown Prince, Siyanbola Oladigbolu gives five vital reasons he should be made the new alaafin without any further delay.
According to the traditionally and historical heir apparent to the exotic throne of the most high traditional monarch in Yoruba land (Alaafin) Prince Siyanbola Oladigbolu.
omo eni o ni se idi bebere, ki afi ileke si idi omo elomiran. Literally means that if one’s child has a robost waist, only a fool will place a waist bead in another person’s child’s waist . If that valuable Yoruba proverb still remains sensible and relevant, I should be made the 44th alaafin in no time. Look at what unnecessary delay has caused to the extent someone none of his fathers had become alaafin before is been frequent on media telling people how he crossed 33 countries with shengen visa as if that’s the criteria to be alaafin. I have no lengthy fabricated lies as history, I have said it countless times, am a biological grandson of the 40th alaafin, oba Siyanbola Oladigbolu, and his own father was oba Lawani Agogoija, son of Alaafin Agunloye Adelu.
My three fathers were Alaafins. How many contenders has narrated how he’s properly related to the stool of alaafin the way I do? No one. The only thing you hear is descendants of someone who came to visit one alaafin and never went back to his domain until his death . Don’t let anyone deceive anyone. Only by the name of some contenders, the general public knows they are just wasting their precious times. They can never be alaafin. If not for the sake of peace, I am capable of mentioning names of time wasters on the list, which absolutely nothing will happen, except the blood of Alaafin Siyanbola Oladigbolu doesn’t flow in my vein.
Stop fighting one’s destiny. You cannot stop it from happening. How can any contestant place a billboard right at the front of the palace, that is desperation as far as I am concerned, if anyone should do that, I Prince Siyanbola Oladigbolu Jnr should be the one. Not someone who shouldn’t be talking when it comes to hirachy in the royal family. let me also respond to some people who have been wondering how come I am a biological grandson of late Oba Ladigbolu, who died 79 years ago, which is 79 years ago now. My father, Prince Azeez Akano Siyanbola Oladigbolu, is one and only son of Ayaba Nihimotalahi Omowe. My father was about 14 years old when his father, Ladigbolu, joined his ancestors on Dec 15 1944.
That’s why you see some 70 years to 80 years olds who are also grandsons like me. They are probably sons to the older sons of Alaafin Oladigbolu. Imagine a king with over 100 children and had some 14 years old kids as at the time of his death . My father was a teenager, and that’s why nature made me a grandson .
the immediate Alaafin Adeyemi still have kids that are less than 7 years old as we speak. That’s exactly how my case is within Oladigbolus. I am not one of those who adopted the name (Oladigbolu) when the stool is vacant.
We were about 68 contenders that submitted our letter of interest to the Constitutionlly recognised head of Oyo Prince ( Baba-Iyaji) whose responsibility is to collate the list and forward it to the Oyomesi (the kingmakers) for screening.
When the list got to the kingmakers, we were all interviewed. However, after the interview, none of the contenders knew whether he passed the aptitude test or not, as the kingmakers did not reveal any reports to ascertain those who passed or failed.
Here are my questions to the illustrious sons and daughters of peaceful Oyo Alaafin, the government of Oyo State, the kingmakers, and the general public.
(1) Why did Oyomesi (the kingmakers) give me a round of applause during the screening process and yet unannounced as the winner?
(2) We all know that no good interviewer gives the interviewee a round of applause, except the interviewee responds positively and accurately. Did they just give me accolades over nothing or what?
(3) If a biological grandson of the 40th Alaafin of Oyo is contesting to be 44th new Alaafin, is he not qualified?
(4) If oracle consultation is necessary even after giving accolades, what is delaying it?
(5) If Nigeria presidential election’s results could be announced in less than 60 hours after the election, what is the delaying pronouncement of oracle consultation results?
This is the first time in my entire life, witnessing such a situation where class teachers give some accolades to a pupil who performed very well in a class of 68 and still deny him his excellent report card.
This is an interview that was witnessed by the government officials, the kingmakers, and they all saw how the interviewers passionately gave me a very solid round of applause.
I am a lover of knowledge, and that’s why I can never stop searching for it at all costs. I need knowledgeable Nigerians to educate me by telling me at what particular time or point in life a round of applause is used to compensate under performed contender.
