Firm Announces Finalists for World’s Best School Prizes

Organisers of the World’s Best School Prizes has announced finalists for the 2023 edition of the award which is aimed at celebrating heroes of the education sector globally.
The World’s Best School Prize is acclaimed most prestigious education prizes globally. It is founded by T4 Education in collaboration with Accenture, American Express, Yayasan Hasanah, and the Lemann Foundation.
The award celebrates schools that have significantly impacted their students and the wider community in five different categories namely, Community Collaboration, Environmental Action, Innovation, Overcoming Adversity, and Supporting Healthy Lives.
This year, the finalists including a Nigerian school, Government Girls Day Secondary School. The school stands a chance of winning $50,000 at the end of the contest which will produce five winners in each category.
Government Girls Day Secondary School was named among the top 10 shortlisted in the ‘Overcoming Adversity’ category for its strides in transforming teenage girls through its Menstrual Hygiene programme, thus breaking education barriers.
Commenting, Founder of T4 Education,Vikas Pota stated that all shortlisted schools had demonstrated passion and commitment with a very strong culture.
He said, “Their leaders know how to attract and motivate exceptional educators, inspire change, and build excellent teaching and learning environments.
“I must congratulate Government Girls Day Secondary School, Sokoto on being named in the Top 10 shortlists for the award. Schools across the globe will learn from the story of this trailblazing Nigerian institution and the culture it has cultivated.”
