Kogi West APC Unveils Support Group, Promises Victory

As part of efforts to ensure victory the candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC) for governorship election on November 11 , 2023, loyalists of the party in Kogi West have unveiled Okun United For Ododo Support Group.
The unveiling took place and was organised to work and mobilise support for the victory of the APC in the forthcoming Kogi state governorship election in the five local government areas of the zone.
In his remarks ,the Coordinator General of the support group, who doubles as the State Security Adviser, Cmdr. Jerry Omodara, thanked the people of Okun Nation for coming out in their large numbers to grace the occasion, describing the turnout as an indication of the people’s trust in the administration of Governor Yahaya Bello.
Omodara appreciated the State Chairman of APC, Abdullahi Bello Dollar and Senator Sunday Karimi for their support and assured them that the forthcoming governorship election will be a walk-over for the party.
The Director General of Okun United For Ododo Support Group and a former member, Kogi State House of Assembly, Mr. Alfred Bello, said all the defectors from the opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to the ruling APC will add value to the party and the government of Governor Yahaya Bello.
Alfred Bello said the programme was organised by 70 per cent of PDP defectors and 30 per cent members of the APC, stressing that the defectors would collapse the structure of the PDP in the state into the APC.
The former lawmaker commended the political appointees of the APC in the area for always working for the victory of the party in all elections, noting that the defectors have come to widen the victory gap of the APC.
He appealed to old members of the APC to open their doors and receive the new members so that the party can be more formidable ahead of the forthcoming Governorship election in the state, noting that the APC has the credibility and resources to win overwhelmingly for party’s candidate.
He commended the Executive Governor of Kogi state, Alhaji Yahaya Bello for the establishment of Kogi state University, Kabba, and assured the governor that the people of Okunland have decided to reciprocate the gesture by coming out in their large numbers to massively deliver their votes to the APC from their various polling units in the zone.
The Grand Patron of the support group and former Governorship aspirant in the last Kogi State governorship election, Adebanji David Jimoh said the mandate of Okun people is to deliver 100 per cent votes to the APC candidate in the forthcoming governorship election, stressing that they will leave no stone unturned to achieve the set target.
The seasoned banker turned politician thanked Governor Bello for the establishment of Kogi State University and urged the Okun people to see the university as their project just as the Kogi East sees the Kogi state university, Anyingba as their project and appealed to them to reciprocate the kind gesture by coming out in large numbers to vote for APC come November 11.
