Tinubu’s Presidency Will Unite Nigerians, Says Former Diplomat

A former diplomat and senatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Enugu State, Ambassador Ejike Eze, said at the weekend, that the appointments and policies enunciated so far by President Bola Tinubu will unite Nigerians.
Eze, who was the senatorial candidate of the APC for Enugu North Senatorial District, said the removal of the fuel subsidy and the recent appointments by the president caused Nigerians to heave a sigh of relief, noting that Tinubu was determined to unite the country.
Eze, a diplomat specialising in intelligence and security protocol, served in Nigerian embassies in Germany, Portugal, Ghana and Cuba.
He said the actions and policies of the Tinubu presidency so far depicted a determination to move the country forward.
“For the first time, I am seeing a president that really knows what he wants. In his first speech, he said subsidy had gone and meant it and he is implementing it. This is something we have debated and argued for many years.
“For the first time in a long while, I am seeing balanced appointments. The appointments gave Nigerians a sense of belonging. The last appointment of service chiefs represented the six geopolitical zones”, he said.
He accused the former President Buhari administration of polarising Nigerians by his policies instead of entrenching unity in a diverse nation.
“This is a government that is talking about real governance. By my calculations, the appointments made so far and the policies enunciated by President Bola Tinubu, he wants to unite Nigerians.
“I am from the South-east where the previous government rejected but here we have a chief of naval staff.
The previous government dwelt more on policies that polarise the people rather than uniting the country”, he said.
The APC chieftain stated that President Tinubu was determined to ensure the happiness of the citizenry and move the nation forward.
“This is a president, who is presidential in his policies and who knows that whatever policies he churns out must lead to the progress of the country.
“I see a president that wants Nigerians to be happy, a president that wants Nigeria to move forward”, he said.
