CWG, Dell, Mitsumi Assure Customers on Tech Solutions, Data Security

CWG, an Information Technology (IT) solution provider, in collaboration with Dell Technologies and Mitsumi Distribution, on Tuesday in Lagos, organised a customer forum, where it showcased the latest emerging technologies and informed organisations on how best to leverage the technologies through collaboration, to boost profitability.
Tagged: ‘Tech-Driven Future-Building Tomorrow’s Innovation’, the forum exposed organisations to the capabilities of emerging technologies, and how such technologies could protect the entire ecosystem from internal and external attacks, as well as data recovery in order to reposition organistions for profitability.
Senior Systems Engineer, Dell Technologies, Adekunle Windapo, in his keynote address, said partnering Dell Technologies would help organisations to remove the barriers to innovate.
He stressed the need for innovation and the use of technology to empower the people, adding that Dell has invested $7.9 billion in research and development.
He advised organisations to invest in technology in order to remain relevant and competitive, adding that Dell Technologies, though its solutions, will help organisations to turn their ideas into innovation for profitability. He stressed the need for collaboration, and explained that without collaboration, no organisation could successfully innovate. He advised organisations to simplify their Information Technology (IT) processes to enhance productivity.
He spoke about cloud services offered by Dell Technologies and further advised organisations to take advantage of its cloud service offerings. “Dell Technologies offers multi-cloud technology solutions as-a-service and I strongly advise organisations to take advantage of the solution.” Windapo said.
Laying emphasis on Dell Technologies Edge solution, Windapo said it would allow organisations to raise large amount of data and be able to move data from one location to a safe location.
Data protection solutions expert at Dell Technologies, Mr. Ashraf Helmy, in his presentation, said: “Data protection is key to all organisations and our solution helps in protecting data that is stored either in the cloud or on-premise.”
Helmy emphasised the need for organisations to always backup their data and have a robust data recovery plan, which he said, was different from data availability and protection.
He spoke about cyber threats, adding that 30 per cent of cyber attacks come from insider attacks. He therefore stressed the need for organisations to protect their data and the entire ecosystem, using robust IT solutions.
The Chief Operating Officer at CWG, Mr. Afolabi Sobande said the customer forum was put together by CWG to address how businesses could ride on emerging technologies like Blockchain, Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence (AI) to drive their businesses to profitability.

The forum offers industry stakeholders the opportunity to share their vision for the future. The forum was designed to foster creativity and exchange of ideas. Among organisations.
