Bilaad Development Trust Calls for Nigerian Focus on Education and Entrepreneurship to Drive National Progress

Abuja – The Bilaad Development Trust has issued a strong appeal to both the Nigerian government and the private sector, urging them to make substantial investments in education and entrepreneurship as a means to combat high levels of poverty and unemployment.

During the official launch of the Bilaad Development Trust in Abuja, under the theme “Bridging The Divide: Curating a Prosperous and Egalitarian Society,” the organization’s Chairman, Usman Manko Babayitso, emphasized the critical importance of education as a cornerstone of empowerment and a key to unlocking opportunities.

Babayitso stressed that quality education equips individuals with the necessary knowledge, skills, and confidence to overcome challenges and seize opportunities in their lives. He emphasized the need to provide equal opportunities for all individuals, regardless of their background, to help them reach their full potential.

“Opportunities often define the line between success and failure. It is within our capability to provide these opportunities. We must work towards creating a world where every person can realize their full potential by investing in education, fostering entrepreneurship, embracing inclusivity, and promoting collaboration. In doing so, we pave the way for a brighter and more equitable future,” Babayitso remarked.

The Chairman also underscored the importance of nurturing entrepreneurship and innovation, recognizing that in a rapidly changing world, individuals must be empowered to adapt, innovate, and create their own opportunities. He called for mentorship, funding, and resources to be made available to aspiring entrepreneurs, as their ideas and initiatives can contribute to economic growth and social development.

Furthermore, Babayitso highlighted the significance of prioritizing inclusivity and diversity. By embracing different perspectives, cultures, and backgrounds, communities can unlock untapped potential and foster an environment where excellence thrives. He emphasized the need to break down barriers and create spaces where everyone feels valued, respected, and heard.

Collaboration and partnership were also emphasized by the Chairman, who recognized that creating opportunities requires collective efforts. By forging alliances with governments, businesses, and civil society organizations, all working towards a future without boundaries, the impact can be magnified, leading to lasting change.

Babayitso appealed to influential organizations and individuals to direct their resources towards empowering students, teachers, and the unemployed population. He urged them to contribute to the construction of schools, provide teacher training, and offer scholarships to ensure that every child has an equal chance to learn and grow.
