Masari’s Men, Ex-PDP Treasurer Make Katsina Gov Commissioners’ List

The Katsina State Governor, Dikko Umaru Radda, has sent the names of 20 commissioner-nominees to the state House of Assembly for screening and consideration as members of the State Executive Council.

This was contained in a statement signed and issued to journalists in Katsina yesterday by Radda’s Director-General on Media, Maiwada Danmalam.

THISDAY’s review of the commissioners’ list showed that four out of the nominees worked with the immediate-past administration of Governor Aminu Bello Masari.

They are Associate Professor Badamasi Lawal, a former commissioner for Education; Musa Adamu, a former Commissioner for Water Resources, and the former state Commissioner for Environment, Hamza Suleiman.

Dr. Bishir Gambo Saulawa, the former Commissioner for Sports and Social Development and Supervising Commissioner for Land and Surveys in the immediate-past administration, is also among the commissioner-designates.

The former Treasurer of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for Northwest, Bishir Tanimu Gambo, is also among the nominees. He is also an ally and political foot soldier of the former state Governor, Ibrahim Shehu Shema.
