Northeast Group Commends Tinubu for Reappointing Alkali as MD NEDC

The North East Elders and Youth Peoples Forum (NEEYPF) has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the reappointment of Goni Ibrahim Alkali as the managing director/chief executive of North East Development Commission (NEDC).

The Chairman of the forum, Alhaji Salihu Magaji, who made the commendation yesterday in Bauchi when he addressed a press conference, said with the reappointment of Alkali, “the president has proven himself as a master strategist and a true Nigerian patriot whose interest is to build a Nigeria that works for all.”

Magaji said: “The caliber of people just appointed by the president, especially a quintessential leader who has proven himself like Goni Alkali has proven what most of us already know about his ability to spot talent and reward hard work.

“We members of our forum in the North-east region are happy that the president found our leader, mentor, and brother, workaholic, patriotic Alkali worthy of appointment as the managing director NEDC.

“Alkali has over the years proven himself to be a reliable leader who cares about the welfare and wellbeing of the Northeast and Nigerians across the region and beyond.

“We are confident, and assured the president and Vice President Kashim Shettima that the Northeast and Nigerians will benefit immensely from his wealth of experience, competence, and commitment to national development.”

While congratulating the reappointed MD, Magaji said: “Alkali as an achiever will continue to give exemplary leadership, that will genuinely rebuild the North-east region and beyond, and will justify the confidence reposed in him through completion and execution of more viable projects that will redevelop the region.”

He assured Alkali of the continued support of all stakeholders in the region for him to succeed.
