Motherhood has come to be for Big Brother Naija ‘Shine ya Eyes’ star, Maria Chike Benjamin, and her boyfriend, Kevin as they finally welcomed their first baby.

The couple, who announced they were expecting a child last month, welcomed a baby boy last Monday. Maria shared the good news via her Twitter page, expressing her love for her bundle of joy.

The reality television star also revealed the mood and moment her son was christened, “Jonathan Anthony Adegbotolu 17/07/2023 2:53 am. We love you already”.

The good news comes barely a month after she addressed rumors of wrecking her boyfriend’s marriage following reports of their relationship which went viral. In an interview with media personality, Chude Jideonwo, Maria claimed that she never knew Kevin was married before they met.

Maria made it known that she didn’t destroy Kevin’s marriage and vowed to stand by her words. According to her, she isn’t a home wrecker and would never be one. “I actually wasn’t aware whether or not he was married when he first started dating.

“What I am going to stand by and the gospel truth and I didn’t destroy any marriage. I have never and would never”. Maria entered the Big Brother Naija House in the 2021 season, leaving a trail of admirers in her wake.

She soon launched a fashion and lifestyle brand post-BBNaija, extending her influence beyond the supposedly controversially influential show.

Recall that the reality television star and host of the “Healing with Maria” wellness show shared her pregnancy status in a video she posted on her Instagram page last month.

The video directed by Dammy Twitch, showed Maria tenderly cradling her baby bump and saying words of prayers and affirmations for her baby in a voiceover. She captioned the post, “This chapter is called blessed. With our hearts filled with so much love and happiness, we can’t wait to meet you.”

This was shortly after her baby shower, with enchanting photos of Maria’s radiant face. Fans were quick to express their excitement, posting congratulatory messages prior to her baby boy’s arrival.
