T4 Education, HP Announce Winner of Medal

An organisation, T4 Education has announced the winner of its much-coveted Africa Education Medal which aimed to reward exploits and heroism in African education.
The Medal, a collaborative effort of T4 Education, HP and Microsoft is regarded as Africa’s most prestigious education accolade, established to recognise works of changemakers transforming African education.
This is amid rising demands to change the narratives of African education that still struggles with the effects of COVID-19 pandemic.
This year, Nigerian- born CEO of JA Nigeria, Simi Nwogugu emerged winner of the award to beats several other contenders across the continent.
Nwogugu was recognised for her devotion to girls’ education and commitment to the empowerment and development of African youths projected to make up 25 percent of world’s youth population by 2025.
Speaking, Founder and CEO of T4 Education, Vikas Pota said Nwogugu win will be a rallying cry for changemakers to move to unlock Africa’s potential.
“She has dedicated her life’s work to skilling up Africa’s young people, equipping them with the tools to not only survive but thrive in the world they’re entering”, Pitas added.
For HP’s Senior Education Business Leader, Southern Europe, Middle East and Africa, Mayank Dhingra, the winner remains an inspiration to HP which have a bold goal to accelerate digital equity for 150 million people globally by 2030.
In her remark, Nwogugu said, “This award is for all the fantastic staff at JA Africa, and the inspirational young people they have worked with, helping to pave the way to a brighter future for our continent’s young. I want to thank T4 Education, HP and Microsoft for giving these people hope that together we can make a difference.”
